Terms and conditions

1. The service

Depending on the plan, Bookea offers: an online booking page, scheduling, WhatsApp and email reminders, a client database, payments, reports and, for health businesses, clinical records and prescriptions. We may improve or change features; if a change significantly reduces what you signed up for, we will let you know in advance.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account information, for keeping your password secret and for what the team members you give access to do. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

Your page address (for example, bookea.io/your-business) is yours while your account is in good standing. If you stop paying, we keep it for you for 60 days after the trial ends (if you never paid) or 90 days after your last paid period; after that it may be assigned to another business. Your business’s previous addresses remain reserved for it while the account exists. We may reassign an address that uses another business’s name or brand without the right to do so, or that was registered only to hoard it.

3. Free trial

Each new business gets a 14-day trial with no card required. When it ends, you need to choose a plan to keep using the platform; if you don’t, the account stops receiving online bookings, but your information is kept for a while so you can pick it up again.

The free trial is one per person. Opening additional accounts (with another email, another WhatsApp number or another Google account) to repeat it is not allowed; if we detect it, we may suspend those accounts. To open another business, the one you already have must be on an active plan.

4. Plans, payments and cancellation

• For businesses in Mexico, prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN) and are charged through Stripe or Mercado Pago. For businesses outside Mexico, prices are in US dollars (USD) and are charged by card through Stripe. In both cases they are charged in advance, monthly or yearly, and applicable taxes may apply.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it from your dashboard.
• When you cancel, you keep the service until the end of the paid period. Partial periods are not refunded, except as required by law.
• If prices change, we will let you know before your next renewal.

5. WhatsApp messages

Messages sent from Bookea’s number are subject to your plan’s monthly limit. If you connect your own WhatsApp Business number, Bookea does not limit the number of messages, but their use is subject to Meta’s policies and, where applicable, its charges. Messages must be about your business’s appointments and service, not unsolicited advertising.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Bookea for illegal activities, to send spam, to impersonate other people or businesses, or to try to breach the platform’s security. We may suspend accounts that do so.

7. Your clients’ and patients’ data

You are responsible for the data you record about your clients and patients: obtaining their consent, giving them your privacy notice and handling their requests, under the laws that apply to you. Bookea processes that data only to provide the service to you, as explained in the Privacy notice.

8. Clinical records and prescriptions

Clinical records, prescriptions and dose suggestions are support tools. Medical decisions, the content of each note and prescription, and compliance with the regulations that apply to you as a health professional are your responsibility.

For now, clinical records are not available to businesses in the United States or Europe, whose health data laws (such as HIPAA or the GDPR) impose additional requirements.

9. Availability and liability

We work to keep Bookea available and working well, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. To the extent permitted by law, Bookea is not liable for indirect damages or lost revenue, and its total liability is limited to what you paid in the last three months.

10. Termination

You can stop using Bookea at any time. We may suspend or cancel an account that breaches these terms. If you cancel, you can ask us for a copy of your information before it is deleted.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, and any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of Mexico, unless the law of your country mandatorily provides otherwise. For any questions, write to us at [email protected].
